Do I still have 30 day trial period if I get the phone from BB or RS?

I'm going to be switching to Sprint for the EVO and want to know if I can still get the 30 day free trial even if I get the phone from BestBuy or Radio Shack? If I decide to cancel do I just return the phone to the place I bought it, i.e. BB or RS? Thanks.
