Do messages show on top of blinkfeed?

Are you talking about the "Thinking about lunch"? That's part of the Yelp integration that's supposed to suggest nearby restaurants. I've yet had it suggest one to me though.

Hasn't worked for me either, I read you have to download foursquare from app store so I did that and it still didn't work

I'm more concerned about figuring out how to get rid of this garbage. I can't stand Yelp, and I sure as hell don't want their crap showing up in the middle of my BlinkFeed or lockscreen for that matter. I'm starting to think Yelp actually tossed a pile of money at HTC to make this garbage always show up with no user control to get rid of it.

You just have to turn off HTC location services.
