Clicking a physical button can also introduce blur, especially when ambient light is reduced.

The result for me is the opposite, especially in low light. When properly holding my Xperia, the shutter/record button is on the top right of the phone where my index finger naturally rests. It's much better to press a button you are also on top of than to relocate a finger to reach an on-screen button, which also means removing some grip support.

Another thing Sony did right is the half push to focus on the photo button. That is intuitive to photography enthusiasts that are use to regular cameras.

Funny that I have the Xperia 1 VI and it is a great phone! However, camera specs is by far the least important thing to me on any phone I have ever had! Especially in the last several years they ALL can take more than adequate photos for 99% of the general population. To me there are far more important things the OEM's need to focus on rather than the camera! YMMV

What are you interested in besides camera specs?

First of all connectivity! Rarely do we see anything more than a cursory mention of the most important thing for ANY mobile communications tool! Without this hardware working properly you don't have a communications device, you have a paperweight. The SOC is not important either when it comes to all the so-called "benchmarks" because like the cameras the SOC's have been overkill for years now! This is why we still, to this day, have to worry about battery usage and overheating! I look at whether it has a flat screen or not. Curved displays (which are finally starting to go away) are the most useless feature ever. I wish glass backs would also disappear! Aesthetics are more important than many might admit, because there are numerous comments about various phones where someone says "it's ugly!" Obviously what we think looks good is more important than we might like to admit.
I wish the fingerprint reader would return to the rear of the phone where it works the best for one handed use! Also, those types of readers were nearly flawless from day one. I wish the multi-color notification LED would come back! Far less battery use than any AOD! Another reason I have the Sony Xperia 1 VI is NO PUNCH HOLE in the screen, front facing stereo speakers, and all necessary sensors located in the upper bezel where they belong!
Since selfies are rarely used by me if we can't have them located in the upper bezel then I can live with the hidden, under glass, versions that for me are good enough! YMMV
