I went to buy an S4 having read about the vibrant and colorful Amoled screen.
When I got to the shop I lined up an S4 side by side with an HTC One and compared images on the internet - mainly high quality landscape photos.
I could not believe the difference. The HTC showed them up so much better. All images on the S4 were duller than the HTC.
The consultant agreed with me but he described the S4 photos as just being more saturated and that the HTC screen is just brighter. He also said that the photos taken by the s4 would not look dull when loaded on to a computer screen.
I left confused and without a phone. But, as a good camera is very important to me I thought maybe I can live with poor/ dull images on the phone for the sake of better photos.
I have been looking at the photos posted here by s4 owners and have been very impressed by the quality of them. The dullness which I found looking at images on the phones screen is not apparent.
What I want to know is whether there is a difference between how your photos appear on your phone screens and how they appear on a computer screen? That is, are they brighter and more colorful on the computer than on the phone screen?.
