Well, its official
I'm getting my first Android tomorrow.... The Thunderbolt
I've been reading up on it, and it seems like its going to be one of the best phones for a while...
Yet, some people are criticizing it for what seems like no reason...
Am I missing something here? :-\

I think you'll like it. I do. You have to compare it with other VZW phones. And the fact the the 4G technology is already in place and is ramping up fast. Anyone who remembers when 3G came along (upgrade to 1x) will also remember how fast it was that VZW had 3G virtually blanketing the country. I think 4G will be the same. No sense buying a 3G phone now.

I criticized it to an extent. Decided to pick it up this weekend and try it. And you know what? I love it. Best purchase I ever made. The display is crisp and well contrasted, the camera is great quality and HTC Sense is very useful.

Let's not forget 4G LTE. It really is 'blazing fast'. So big plus if you're in a 4G market. :)

its a great device! but just remember.. it is the first of its kind. there are little glitches and quarks at the moment. I have a feeling most of the complaints will go away after the first or 2nd ota update though.

I love my bolt though! :)

From what I have seen in other forums is the fact that it is considered old technology by spec. junkies. With the droid Bionic (dual-core processor) coming out many are passing up on the TB to get the newest tech. But some don't realize is that the TB has the newest iteration of Snapdragon and an updated GPU (Adreno 205).

Thanks, Now my final question...
Atrix or Thunderbolt?
For me I switched from at&t (iphone4 user) to verizon because living in New York at&t network would not work for me. So if you get at&t just make sure that the network is good where you live. At&t customer service has always been good to me and I also wanted the atrix, hated to switch but I had a phone and couldn't use it:(. But all is not lost the TB rocksss!! Hope this helps.

Depends what device you're coming from. I had a two year old Blackberry so the Thunderbolt is a huge upgrade for me!

Battery life is a little weak, but expected. LED is terrible.

Otherwise, love this device! Rocks.
