Never!!!

Here's why.....

Some updates don't play nice with certain os versions or what not.

You should always read the comments before you update. Find out what it broke our fixed for others.

I 2nd that. Never. Like the previous post touched on, read the comments before any and all updates.

I don't because I like to read all the changes and some comments dealing with my particular phone before updating.

I use it for some apps that seem to have reliable updates. For others, I usually read the comments to see how it went for other people who updated. Some developers seem to push updates more often than needed and they might be using us as guinea pigs to do their testing.

I have always had auto update on (since it's been available) and I haven't had any issue nor do I really think it eats much if any battery.
