Personally I consider the Turbo 2 to be a phablet based on it's physical size, particularly it's width and depth, which for me are most critical in holding it in my hand. Samsung in their official filing with the government, states that devices over 160mm diagonally are considered phablets. Of course, there is no agreed upon definition and wikipedia states that devices between 5.1" and 6.99" are phablets.

Do you consider the Turbo 2 to be a phablet? Please explain your decision either way.

I was on a Galaxy Note 2 before I moved on to smaller Moto phones. The Droid Turbo 2 is at 5.4" while the Note 2 was at 5.5". Therefore, the Turbo 2 is a phablet, to me.

I have also attached pictures comparing the Note 5 and Turbo 2.

I just call them large phones. I try not to use the word "phablet".

It's a bit smaller than my Zenfone 2, which I still can hold comfortably in my medium-sized hands (glove size 7.5). So I'd consider it a phone. To me, a phablet is something I can't hold comfortably and access all parts of the screen with one hand. The Nexus 6 to me crosses the line to be a phablet.

I hate using that word, but it would fit into the category with phones like the Note and Plus-sized iPhones rather than the Galaxy S-x and smaller iPhones

I also just like to say "too large" rather than phablet, but I voted yes.

I'm not sure I agree that anything with a display 5.1" or larger is a phablet, and I think it has more to do with the size of the whole phone than the display, but I think anything wider than 3" or with a display about 5.4" or larger is a large phone. This one, like the iPhone 6+, has large bezels that make it feel larger than the display size would suggest.

I want a phone that I can carry comfortable in my pocket. Length, width, thickness, and mass all have something to with "pocket-feel", but when I bought the Droid Maxx a couple of years ago I thought it was as large as I'd like a *phone* to be. To me anything more than 5 mm in any dimension larger is getting to be too big.

So, yes - the Turbo 2 is too big for me.

I also like that designation of being too big - is the phone closer in size to a Galaxy S6 or a Galaxy Note 5? Or, is it closer in size to a iPhone 6s or a iPhone 6S Plus? In both cases, the Turbo 2 is closer in size to the larger phone.

So, yes, it's a "Phablet".

I don't really consider it a phablet.

I think a few years ago maybe. My note 2 3 4 and 5 were phablets, but they had a built in stylus and programming that went beyond a "phone".

For me a phablet meant something of a crossover between a phone and tablet, not just a big screen. However phones like the galaxy mega were phablets even though there wasn't special hardware or software.

By today's standards the turbo2 is just on the high end of the scale for phone sizes, without being phablet sized.

Moto Droid Turbo 2

I waited for a Droid Mini refresh for too long. When I have time to play on the phone outside of the home, I usually have my Fire HDX too, and tether. So I really don't need a big phone. I would love the specs of the DT2 in a phone the size of the Droid Mini. I suppose I could look at another manufacturer, but IMO, once you get used to the Moto way of phones its hard to not have those features.

I'm coming to the T2 from the note 3. I don't really see this phone the same as the note 3. I agree with the poster who said phablets(I hate that term by the way) has more to do with features then just screen size. I didn't use half the features my note 3 had. The T2 seems more like just a phone to me. The screen is a good size yes but the features are not really anything special beyond the shatterproof screen.
