Do you feel screwed with the sprint premier changes?

definitely. I have been with sprint for 8 years and I recently when from the simply everything to the everything data. If the dont let me get the upgrade, Im jumping ship Lol

Could someone explain all of this to those of us who are new to sprint pls? I just signed up 2 months ago when I discovered i was not in fact gay and did not need an iPhone anymore.

You used to be able to upgrade your phone yearly, it was called Sprint Premiere. Now they changed the terms to be in the Premiere program and a lot of people were cut out. Many of those (me), were on the 69.99 plan.

I called Sprint up and they said if already are eligible for an upgrade you can keep it even past the changes, but if the changes happen before your eligibility, then you are screwed. I myself will be demoted to Silver, but I and all other launch day Evo buyers will be eligible April 1st to upgrade (go check)!

I asked if my upgrade was April 1st, and the changes were happening April 1st, and I was told the changes won't be finished until April 2nd, and I will be able to keep my upgrade. I asked again just to check that I would not have to use my upgrade April 1st, but instead could keep it and use it whenever. She confirmed that yes, I would be able to use the upgrade anytime I wanted even past April.

Doesn't matter to me as I tend to buy my phones and keep them for about 3 years or so. My Evo does everything I want it to do and more so she'll be with me for many years to come.

It sucks that I won't have the yearly upgrade but I'm gonna stick with Sprint. I've been with other carriers and Sprint is the best choice for me.

I called and Sprint's account department and they told me that I still have one upgrade after that it's every two years. I bought my EVO on launch day.

Yeah that's what they told me.

If thats the case I am thrilled. I bought a Hero on launch day and the thing is just painfully slow at this point and cannot even run things like Angry Birds well at all. If I don't get an upgrade then I will just ditch them and go to Verizon or if I get it they also get my wife as a new sub as she has Verizon now. So its really up to them.

I am gonna stick with Sprint, I am almost at 10 years with them which would move me right back into Gold Status. So I can keep using my Epic until 2012 or I enter Gold status and then I will see what my options are at the time.

June will be my 10 years anyway, but also am eligible for my upgrade (my main line) which I heard stays until you use it even after the premiere change. Glad I have 3 lines on my account used diff account line for evo upgrade last year last year.

So since my date for the 1 year upgrade is 6/12/11 I'm still on the Official F%^&U* list then. Wonderful. If they had atleast giving us our last upgrade the do the 2 yr most would be fine with it. It's not that I'm jonesen for a change just wanted the option to since I got the Evo cause of my POS Pre was on it's last legs.

I'm still confused on if we get to keep our last upgrade date or not if it's after April 1st. I also got a release day Evo and my GF has a Moment she would have been eligible to upgrade on May 1st. So on April first, do Sprint's computers change our 5/1/11 & 6/1/11 upgrade dates to 2012, or do we get to keep our current upgrade dates and after we use them we go to the 2 year upgrade schedule?

I have only been with Sprint since July of last year. My account has 3 lines on it and it costs me about $190 a month. I called Sprint to find out if i am able to stay in gold status and i am. Dont know if that will stick after the changes take affect. Just have to wait and see.

I know because both att and verizon have moced to where you need to wait 20 months to get the upgrade no matter which lone.
