Do you have a Nest doorbell and use Do Not Disturb to (try to) silence it?

I just spent 45 minutes with Nest thinking they would have an answer for why my Nest app doesn't respect the DND setting. I was in a meeting today with DND on and plenty of other notifications silenced then... DING DONG!!!!

This isn't the first time or the first Pixel with this issue. I just happened to finally address it with Nest. My P2XL did it in the middle of a class I was teaching. One where I pound into my student's heads to silence their phones.

No, the Nest notification setting is not set to override DND. It's set not to (option off).

Nest tech support blamed the Pixel and its "updated OS." As is typical, pointed me toward Google for help. I might just do that!

This is a long shot.... anyone have this problem?

I have not tried this yet (as I typically do not put my phone in DND. I just set it to vibrate.
Funny how Nest blames Google, and I've seen it the other way around. Aren't they supposed to be the same Company?

Sub-Company (Alphabet) but yes in the grand scheme of things it is all Google.

When I left feedback about my chat experience.... not only did I make this point but I used the right company configuration in making it. Proud of myself, but it was ultimatley and most likely pointless.

Yeah IMO pointless -- the chat rep is just a chat rep. No control over that stuff.
