Do you have a permanent Verizon ad in your Huffington Post app?

Recently my Huffington Post app started having a permanent red Verizon banner ad at the bottom of every page as an overlay, blocking part of the screen. It stays stationary while I scroll.

Formerly there was no ad there. And it seems weird that it's always the same red Verizon banner and not different ads.

Do any of you Dinc2 drivers who have this app have the same thing? If you don't have this app would you be willing to install it temporarily and tell me what you see?

Two things that have also happened in about the same time frame as this are that I opted out of Verizon's location-based advertising and also installed AdFree. So maybe had I not opted out, they'd be showing me different ads here? I don't know, it just seems weird to have a permanent generic ad for a carrier I already use. And as for AdFree, you'd think it would block the ad, not be the cause of it. I uninstalled that and the ad is still there so I guess it wasn't that.

I've had another weird ad thing in the past several weeks where when I start up my phone in the morning, the browser is the first thing I see and it's tuned to a promotional site. The two don't seem related, but funny things are happening regarding advertising on my phone.

Does Verizon pay you to use that app?
