Do you have a wallet case?

I've never had a wallet case and I'm considering getting one for my note 10 plus on order.
For those of you that have them on previous phones, did you like em?
I wonder if the flipping of the covers gets irritating when we use em.
But I can't imagine how awkward it would be to use for taking pictures.
Thoughts?

I mean I'm used to CONSTANTLY glancing at my phone.
Sometimes even when I don't want to. It's simply habit.
I thi k that might help and make it more of a 'tool' rather than an extension of my body... Which I'd like to get back to that idea like when we had bag phones. Lol.
But.. We use it for so much more nowadays.

I used one briefly, but didn't like it. the theory was it would be useful when I have gym shorts that don't have back pockets.

However, its akward to hold flipped back. I couldn't use it with the wireless charger in my car, because it couldn't charge flipped back. and generally, made the phone feel thicker and more unwieldy in general.

many people love them though.

You don't need a wallet case, you need self control. Put the phone where you keep it, and only "look at it" when you need to do something with it. Every time you reach for the phone, stop and ask yourself, "What am I going to do with it?" If it's "Just look at it", put that hand somewhere else. (I stopped smoking that way, and nicotine is harder to go cold turkey from than cocaine, so "breaking the cellphone habit" should be a breeze.) After a week of having to stop yourself, you'll find that you're not reaching for it.

(I've had cellphones longer than you have, probably - since the early 90s. At one time, repping 4 carriers and an MVNO, I had 5 flip phones on my belt. I've never considered a phone, or a watch to be "part of my body". (Of course, I grew up, most of my life, with "if you're in public and need to make a phone call, look for a phone booth or a Bell sign on a store [that said that they had a payphone inside for public use].)

My daily driver, whatever it's been for years now, is in an Otterbox Defender belt clip - and unless I need to do something with it, about the only time I look at it is when I'm here, online (sometimes there are questions about cellphones on another site I frequent too) to see how to answer someone's question. I might glance at my phone once or twice a week to see the time (I don't wear a watch, I have a phone with the time on it if I need to know the time).

A little self control is good for you. Exercising it once makes it easier to exercise it the next time you need it. The more you exercise it, just like a muscle, the stronger it gets. (Giving up smoking? I just decided to, handed my pack to my wife and said, "Here - I'm not going to smoke any more." After decades of a 4 pack a day habit. And a few years of deliberately exercising self control.)

I've used a wallet case since the Note 5, prior to that, I used extended batteries, so I used cases that accommodated that. I like the wallet cases for protection and convenience. When I run to the store, all I need is my phone. My 2 year old granddaughter is a phone stealer, so it's pretty well protected from those little snatching fingers. I would have great anxiety with a phone case that didn't cover these screens. On the other hand, my daughter has a minimal case on her S9+, and my grand daughter flings that phone around like it's a Frisbee, so maybe the phones are just more tolerant of abuse, but I like my wallet cases for protection and convenience since I keep my license and cards with my phone. And my phone is with me all the time. We're best buds.

I haven't used a wallet case since I had the HTC One M9. I hated it honestly. It was a pain to use while I was actually using the phone, especially when using the back camera. That's just my experience though. Many people love their wallet cases.

I traditionally used a wallet case because it becomes a mini-wallet (debit card, driver's license, a $20, biz cards). Just grab the phone case to run errands instead of my purse/backpack. I'll likely still have one wallet case for the Note 10+. But, I ended up also buying a leather Bandolier style case on Etsy for the Note 8, and had the advantages of a wallet case plus the advantages of a back-only case. So that will be my go-to case for the 10+, provided the company will make it. The only thing I really miss with a wallet case is the ability to use the case as a stand. Also, I always got wallet cases with snaps and not magnets because some people experienced interference with the S-Pen where the magnets came in contact with the screen.

I mainly only use a wallet case. I get one of those WWW or FYY case from Amazon that have a wrist strap (very important to me). I also look for cases that have the magnet on the sides only... Not the ones that stretch to the middle of the phone because I don't want the interference with my s pen.

I'm looking to see if other brands make these kind of cases.

I use the Spigen/VRS case with the wallet compartment, they hold 2 cards. Or a pop wallet, holds 3 cards, all I need. My ID, metro card, and a bank card/cc.

The full phone wallet cases for me turned out to be just as bulky as a wallet with cards once your phone is in.

I never cared for the flip wallet phones much. I have used a few work the rear compartment by Spigen. It's good, but it gets in the way of the wireless charging and I prefer the phone to be thinner in most cases so I usually only used it when I traveled. My girl used them on her iPhone but we recently switched her to a flip style as she kept breaking the sliding door. She likes both, but seems to be enjoying the flip style more as she doesn't have to carry a purse around as much. The floppy cover hasn't bothered her too much. Tough it doesn't work very well with the magnet mount in her car. Having the cover open causes the phone to rotate.

I went from the early flip-phone cases to a leather hang-around-the-neck for my round Nokia phone to genuine leather wallet style cases (my very fave) & don't wish to change to anything else. I much prefer the ones that snap closed over magnetic closures & fall-open cases. I love wallet-style because I like my digitalia to be somewhat low-profile & unnoticeable.

All right this is going to sound like a very weird, roundabout reason for not using a wallet case with the Note 10+.

If you use a TPU screen protector, the credit cards in your case leave permanent impressions on that screen protector which create an ugly mark when you're looking at your screen (it's not actually damaging your screen, but it's there for as long as you have the screen protector). Previously, my solution to this was to use a tempered glass screen protector. That's no longer an option with the in-screen FPS, unless you want to deal with the UV-cured Whitestone Dome and such. So with the S10+ (and presumably now the Note 10+), this leaves me without the option of a wallet case.

As such, I'm using the Spigen Slim Fit CS, which allows you to store your cards behind the phone. Like @CKwik240 mentioned it interferes with wireless charging, but I figured that taking my phone out of the case to charge it is preferabe to dealing with the weird impression left by the cards from a wallet case.

I haven't used a Wallet case since the Note 3,and those back then were a nuisance with the plastic screen window getting dirty and it always flapping around and the flap covering the rear cameras when flipped around, maybe they've gotten better since then but if they are still like they were then I don't think it'll be a pleasant experience for you. Need assistance with self control keep your phone face down so you can't see the notifications.

I use the Illumi Aquashield screen protector for the N8 with a wallet case, and there were no permanent marks left from the credit cards on the protector. There are marks left by pressing on the screen with the S Pen. But I prefer writing on a TPU screen rather than a glass screen (I like writing on the slight cushion) so it's worth it. And I could just switch the aquashield out periodically if I want a pristine surface again(i think they're two to a pack). But I haven't switched it out in over a year just because I'm lazy.

Oh cool, maybe I'll try out Illumi.

I have one for my n9 , but I need to find one for the 10 . Wallet cases come in handy for me on the day's I don't want to take a purse or im wearing something that doesn't have pockets.

I have a S8 wallet case, it can hold 14 cards, and some cash, all filled, it has a little weight.

I love simple wallet cases to protect the front screen. I use one without a fastener, just a magnetic "lock"
, and a tpu frame into which the phone inserts. I have no problem flipping it back. I put the metal plate for my car mount into the card slot nearest the back and it holds tight flipped back on the mount.

I use one like this
