I keep scene optimiser off. I live in Sydney and it's more often than not sunny, bright and glary, so I definitely don't need or want any colour enhancements or adjustments.

And yes, I realise there's a tad more to optimising a scene than that, but heh, when the light is so good, one just doesn't need to adjust anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've just been looking for the camera setting to turn off sounds when you take a photo, but I can't find it.

I'm sure it's somewhere logical, because I must have turned mine off, as my camera is silent when I take photos.
