Do you need a screen protector?

I just bought a Ringke case from the manufacturer and it came with two screen protectors. I put one on and while i see it keeps prints and dust from actually touching the screen, I don't see how it's much better than wiping it off with a cloth. Is the screen protector really necessary?

Also for those of you that have the Ringke case; do you keep it on 24/7? It seems like a decent case, and not too bulky but the beauty of this phone is the design, which case seems to take away from.

Screen protectors are typically put on to help prevent scratches first and foremost.

I've had my NS4G for about 40 days now, only 1 day with the screen protector. I also have a Ringke case.

I yet to have a scratch, and I pay no attention to which pocket I put the phone in (it often "snuggles" with my keys).

I agree the Ringke case is nice, but I too miss the naked phone. I'll probably ditch it totally at some point.

I think its necessarily for me due to the fact that I take my phone to camping, running, etc, etc and tend to drop it a lot

It depends on application. MY GF got 2 fine scratches on her screen in the first few days. However, they are so small they aren't even noticed now forgetting about them.

On the other hand I do not have any scratches on my phone. If you feel the need, yes.
