Do you read your Manual

I probably should, but I don't - I'm too excited to play with my new phone, and by the time I put it down I've already learned everything I need to get by. The only manuals that I do read are the ones that come with unassembled furniture (because I have to).

I'm somewhere in the grey area of all of these choices. I skim it, then eventually read it over the course of time. But definitely not at first, the phone is more important :D

theese phones come with manuals??? lol j/k I skim at first, mainly if I'm trying to figure out how to do something specific (since the EVO was my first smartphone) then use it for reading material while using the bathroom

Not at all. Well, not for electronic devices.

Things that need assembly...if its not easy enough to figure out, then yes I will read it.

Ditto. My captivate only came with a quick start guide. I, however, did run over to the Samsung site to download the full manual, just in case.

I always give the manual a good read within the first week or so. It's a good way to find the "shortcuts" and other non-obvious bells and whistles that the manufacturer throws in. But like bboykin - It's usually "Library" literature.

Same for me. Pull it out when something goes wonky as well, if I can't find an answer here first!

I rarely read manuals except on when I had to reset my blueant t1 bluetooth heatset.
