Do you think there's any security issue with sms in Hangout?

I'm trying to see if by "managing" sms, hangout will get a copy of my sms? Do you use it for sms? Do you think it's safe?

Probably since it's tied to your Google+ account, but I don''t know for sure.

Regardless, all SMS can be monitor by your carrier... Why worry about Google? Also, if you're using hangouts for SMS and texting someone who isn't using hangouts then no... Its not going thru Google, just your carrier...I believe anyways... I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time!
