Do you use your phone less now?

Now that I can flip it shut and put my phone in my pocket and not have to make 'special provisions' (take it out of my pocket when I sit down/etc) because it's too big to comfortably stay in my pocket, I am most definitely not using my phone as much.

It's sort of 'out of sight, out of mind' sometimes. I was always compelled to pick it up if I saw it lying there. If it's in my pocket, I find I don't think about it as much.

The downside is I've already misplaced it a couple of times. lol. It is much easier to keep up with a whole brick than it is to keep up with half a brick.

The notifications on the front screen help. Yellow dot=scroll left, see if you need to address it. If not, put it back.

How about you? Do you use your Zflip less than you did your larger previous phones?

What a really great thread topic! Thank you for posting!

You bring up a lot of good points. If you're not pulling your phone out of your pocket/purse when you sit down, you're likely not going to check it for notifications. If you're on it less, it conserves the battery. And you're not a slave to your phone as much. It's a win-win!

Only thing is, I guess if you're not always on top of your phone/keeping track of a big device, you could misplace your Flip (I'd never thought of that!)!

I created a bad habit. Z3Flip in pocket, S10E sitting on table because I use it to monitor cameras on WIFI. Long story short, I leave Z3 Flip in pocket except for calls and messages. S10E for everything else. However the flip battery now will last past a day! lol

Yes, I find myself using the Flip3 less than my other two phones but for DIFFERENT reasons, it's like I'm afraid to leave it open, I'm afraid that I'll wear the hinges out. Basically, using it less because I'm babying it. LOL

I used it less because besides folding, it kind of sucks at everything else. Flip it open and you have a oddly thin candy bar phone with a odd aspect ratio and horrid battery life.

It is really durable, I never baby any device and I've been using and abusing the heck out of it. Only bad thing I think I have some saw dust in the hinges already cause I was cutting some trees down on my hunting land while the flip was sitting open on a stump. No case or screen protector either.

Mine goes 12 hours. But then again I don't know what a good aspect ratio is either. Lol

Who said it wasn't used?
That's 12 hours of my normal usage.
Battery life on this phone is atrocious.. if you squeeze 12 hours with your usage then I'm pretty sure any other phone will give you 3 days. This phone has the worst battery than any phone has came out in the last couple years.

Battery life alone is probably the number one reason why anyone would use this phone less that they normally would.

Not really. I'm not a power user, so I only open phone when I have to to make call, text or read important gmail etc.

That's a pretty good system you have!

I use it much less. I was concerned about battery life but I am going 17 hours off charger and when I put it back on the charger my battery is around 45%. But my screen on time is only about 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day. I don’t game, my phone is used to communicate. I thought I was a power use, but after reviewing my usage with this phone and my iPhone 12 Pro Max I have found I am not. So this will save me money in the future. If you are a power user then I can understand the issue with battery life.

There could be worse reasons for not using it as often! I'd baby my Flip too!
