dock buttons do not turn off in games

Should the home dock buttons turn off/hide during a game like Madden or FIFA? I'd like to gain the 1/4" they take up.

Just noticed this after downloading the free FIFA. Maybe it will be addressed in the next software upgrade.

I don't recall any game removing those buttons on my Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4 and now G2. Think you just get used to it.

Keep in mind I haven't tried a ton of games.

I know on some games on my Droid Razr Maxx HD (angry birds for example) that the buttons are still there as well.

They should be auto hiding on Netflix..mine do.

It is up to app developer to add the code. Netflix app hides the bar. MX just hides buttons but leave little dots. If you root you can hide with a app from the market.

I noticed that when my son was playing COGS, the buttons shrunk down to little light dots, as soon as you touched them they went back to normal.
