Is there a way using the stock Sense Launcher to get "direct dial" shortcuts in to the dock? I'm able to make folders with apps in the dock but cannot figure out how to get shortcuts in there. I realize this can be done easily with Nova, Apex and other launchers but I like the stock one best.

I understand you are saying you don't want to use a launcher, but without one there is no way to do this that I can see.

One of the weaknesses of Sense 5 launcher is that you can only add things in the dock that are in the app drawer, so since you can't create a shortcut in the app drawer, you wont be able to put it in the dock. There may be an app somewhere that will act in this way, but maybe not, as it is an unusual situation to have to put a shortcut in the app drawer to get it on the dock.

The reason people use the custom launchers is that Sense 5 doesn't allow many things like this that result in people getting frustrated with the limitations.

The good news is that you can use alternate launchers and still retain much of the look and feel of sense 5 including blink feed.

Just wondering if anyone has found a better solution for this? I use DGT GTD which is a task app and there is a shortcut to add a task quickly. I want to put it the bottom dock. The best workaround I can find is glovebox but it's not as fast as having it right on the bottom dock.
