dock with extra battery

Hard to believe I havn't seen this eralier. its a great looking little dock with an extra battery charger in the back. not bad for 27 and change.

There's also a version of the same dock on eBay without the extra battery slot in the cradle, so it's a bit smaller.

It's also just 18 bucks shipped.

I'll be the guinea pig here. Just bought one. I'll post a review after I receive it and play with it for a day or so.

Mugen. Com has a very nice one, that is the one i am getting as soon as there 3D extended battery is ready. EDIT after looking at this one the mugen one is much nicer for 5 dollars less

Out of curiosity ...did anyone see some of the other "packages" offered by eBay for the evo3d? There's deals where you get multiple cases, charger, 2 batteries, USB cord, car charger, screen protector...etc...all in a bundle for hella cheap. If anyone has had the stones to order one of these, please post your opinion.

Well I went to check it out and yes the Mugen one looks better but the Ebay actually comes with an extra battery which is well worth the extra $5

mugen makes great same size extended batterys. Thats what i buy for a battery and use stock one as a backup. I will order that dock When they have battery out,, they told me soon.

My mugen dock came last week and this baby is solid and the led lights on the front are very cool. The extra battery charging slot has the extra battery standing up, very nice. My mugen 1950 same size extended battery will ship in few weeks. Did I mention Seidio's is only 1900?. Mugen is 1950.

Yes also interested if 3d enters dock mode in the mugen. Does the phone feel firm in the slot or does it have wiggle? I'm looking for a dock that holds the phone as secure as possible and I won't be using cases, just the bare phone, no extended batteries.

I have this one: HTC EVO 3D Deluxe Dock w. Spare Battery Slot

The phone slides in easy and doesn't wobble around. I don't think it would work with a case on the phone though. Also, it doesn't automatically go into dock mode.

No it can't but i don't care much. I had same setup for my evo 4g. I only use dock when i need to connect to pc for something. I use casemate barly there case and it pops on and off in a second so no big deal about the case. I mainly use the dock to charge a spare battery. With a fully charged spare battery in your pocket you never need to charge except at night when you sleep. I may start using the dock to also charge my phone at night along with spare battery but again, the CaseMate barely there case pops off in a split second. Best thing about that case is most can't tell I have a case on. All the nice curves and contours of the evo 3D are intact.

I got the Mugen dock as well and it keeps the phone nice and secure. Has anybody found an app that will let the phone go into dock mode automatically?
