Does a trojan need device admib to steal passwords

Pls help Im scared my passes are stolen! Awhile ago i downlaoded a PUP. I scanned it on virustotal one of the engines said there was a trojan.

Also, does password loggers trojan need device admin too to work?

I mean its not really a PUP, I just think it is a pup.Im just scared that cuz i alowed the storage permission.

Its promts for device admin,thats why i thobk its a PUP.

But if the trojan attacked even before i gave the device admin,can it steal passwords?
