Does another phone receive notification when a text screen shot is taken?

I haven't read anything to confirm this, but a tech buddy insists that when you take a screen shot of a text conversation with an Android it is possible that the sender's phone is notified, either android or iPhone. True or false?

The SMS protocol doesn't even account for read receipts natively. Deduce from that what you wish but it's not likely.

I know Snapchat and some chat programs would be capable of that if set up for it.

A regular text message, shouldn't be possible, there's no way of knowing if the message was actually received.
