Does anyone else have trouble with the Samsung Fast Charge Wireless Charging Stand?

I recently purchased this stand from a reputable retail outlet. When I put my phone on the charger, the red LED light on my S7 Edge sometimes comes on for only a few seconds. If it goes out, the phone takes FOREVER to charge. Sometimes I have to remove it a few times to get the light to stay on...then it will fast charge. The thing is that, although the red LED light is off, the phone says that it's fast charging in the notification tray. And, it's not...not unless the red LED light is on. I bought this product so I could just throw my phone on the charger without any hassles. If I have to play with it for 5 minutes to get it to fast charge, then I ask myself if it's worth it. Any thoughts?

Do you have a case on the phone? If so, try taking it off to see if it does the same thing or if it works properly.

Yep, some cases are thicker than others.

I'm using the Official Samsung Fast Charging Stand with my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge which has the Samsung Black Leather case on it with no issues.

Does the fan come on in the fast charger when you place the phone on it ?

Try another power cable.

Can you try another Samsung phone on the charger ?

I've found that I have to try out a few different cables to find one that works. Right now, I have an older Samsung white cable that came with my Note 4. It's one of the thicker cables unlike the one that came with the stand. Try a different cable if you have one.

I am using the same Official Samsung Fast Charging Stand and fast charger and Samsung cable as well. I do notice the fan sound but it has never affected how it charges. Maybe you have a defective unit?
