Just curious if anyone makes a slim extended battery that we can use the stock back cover with? I have seen some on ebay but tend to stay away from them. Or will I have to settle for a bigger one with a new back cover?

I first purchased a KINPS (EB-L-1G6LLU) 3150mAh No NFC so it is the same size as the original battery. I purchased it off ebay for about $10.00 plus shipping. I figured I would try it for that price as I have never had ANY real luck with those type of batteries no matter where you buy them. The battery is better than the original Samsung standard battery. I have replaced this battery since with the newer Samsung 3000mAh battery and this battery is much battery and I get the NFC back. Samsung Genuine Extended Battery Kit for Galaxy S III (3000 mAh, Blue) #EB-K1G6UBUGSTD - Expansys USA It does make the phone about 3mm thicker and there is an issue finding a somewhat protective case for your phone. I finally have a case which is by no means an outerbox but it is all I really require or had prior. The case I purchased Galaxy SIII Cases
YMMV
