Does anyone use their Gear 2 as a watch?

The title was kind of tongue in cheek. I use the pedometer, timer, the cycling app and the sleep app and that's about it. I never sync it with my phone unless I'm going out for a ride or at the end of the day to update my pedometer info. For me the majority of the apps are just fluff or maybe the world is passing me by.

I certainly use the watch as a timepiece, as well as for notifications, phone, and other functions. Once we get (hopefully) the ability to respond to Hangouts messages I'll pretty much have all the functions I value most. Oh, and it is great to have a TV remote right on my wrist!

99% of the time. The only other use is checking who is calling to decide if I want to pull my phone out and to view texts as they come in. As you can probably tell, I don't get many calls or texts.

It seems to be OK. I burn around 900 calories on a typical bike ride according to the watch/phone and last year when I found a calculator online that I plugged my age/weight/average heart rate and time into it came up at around 900 calories, so I'm guessing the Gear 2 is pretty accurate. I have the media controller on the double press key and really like it when I'm playing tunes and the phone is in my fanny pack.
