I go into settings | storage.

It says total space 12 gig.

Apps are taking up 1.8gig
Pictures taking up 8 gig.
Free space: 1.4 gig

Then, under SD card, it says: "Mount SD Card".

Does that mean my phone only has onboard storage and has no SD card?

Does that mean when I backup my Go Launcher config "to sd card", and it says "complete", it really is it backup a) backing up the data to internal storage, or b) is not backuping up the config, and failing to give an error message?

Thx
Mike

Been years since I bought a phone that came with an SD card and those phones that did were when I had T-Mobile. It's probably saving it to your internal card.

ok. thanks everyone. I guess my next task is to figure out where this go-launcher backup is going, so I can save it, in case my jelly bean upgrade tonight goes bad.

Go to "my files" and look at the files listed for your internal card, you will probably find it there.

Well it's obviously saving to your internal storage. Most phones now the internal storage is partitioned as /sdcard and the external sd card is /sdcard-ext

Just plug into your computer and move over the backed up file
