Like the question asks, Does Froyo on my Evo support wireless n? I'd like to hear from someone who has it working for them...if indeed it does work.

Thanks.

Yep, even before Froyo, the last OTA update supported it.

P.S. I use it via a Linksys WRT150N on a VLAN set up strictly for 802.11N

I'm thinkin it does actually, but I can't remember if it does... someone help us out on this?

Is 'n' any faster with downloads, surfing, etc. compared to wireless g? Or is the only advantage stronger security?

Oh yeah....!!

Just finished configuring my router to do "n" instead of "g." Noticed an immediate increase in speed according to the FCC Test app. Up to ~15-16 Mbps...much better than with the "g" setting.

Love this Evo on Froyo. Think I'll do a side-by-side comparison with my iphone buddy tomorrow. ;)

are there any a/b/g/n protocol select settings or info on the EVO under "WIFI Wireless Settings"? i didn't see any. it seems that they should have included this feature.

I've played with it quite a bit and found nothing in the EVO Wireless Settings referring to b/g/n options. It's all in how you configure your wireless router.

Apparently it simply accepts whatever the wireless router sends its way as long as you get those passkey setting correctly entered. Took me a few tries this morning at 2 a.m. to enter those 63 characters including numbers, letters, capital letters and a bunch of these guys...#$%&*()+.
