Does having NFC on make a big difference on battery life?

I'm getting good battery life with it on, I'm just curious if the difference is huge.

No not at all, you can turn it off to be safe but it doesn't matter either way

I think I remember reading that it doesn't really have any drain (noticeable) on battery.

When I noticed it could be turned off, I did thinking it could greatly improve battery life. I saw no difference at all as to whether it was on or off.
