I just saw a video saying that manufactures aren't allowed to tinker with doze mode in Android 6.0 or they will be cut from Google Play services.
Do you think Samsung will listen? I remember hearing rumors saying they wanted to start running their own software. Is this a reason for them to cut ties with Google?

Samsung better comply otherwise they will be out of the loop completely - fast.

Who wants a Samsung branded OS on their phone without any Google services? Not me.

I don't either. If that does happen the note 4 will be gone. I'm not a fan of touchwiz as it is.

A bit early to speculate such things don't you think? There is yet to be a mainstream major market tizen based smartphone released. The Z3 was just announced, time will tell how well the all Samsung ecosystem (device and app store) will play out in markets like the US. Samsung isn't foolish enough to jeopardize their place in the market until they prove they can make it on their own.

I would love it frankly. I've run a Note 3 and a Note 4 without Play Services without a hitch. Actually had better battery life too. Then again, I don't use Google for much of anything anyway.

And I'm the opposite. I try not to let Sammy run anything on my lovely rooted devices. I wish I didn't have to deal with them at all.
