Does my phone have a virus?

Ok, for the past 2-3 weeks whenever I'm on the browser, I get redirected to the Google play store. It's extremely annoying now. It's preventing me from actually browsing =(. I have Lookout but everything seems good? Help would be appreciated. (=

Maybe go to settings > applications > default applications > Play Store and press Clear?

So sorry to hear that, if it's getting extremely annoying you could always back up your data right now on Samsung servers [settings > back up & restore > back up > check all boxes > back up now] and then factory reset it. Mind you, though, all your photos and local music will be gone since the Edge + doesn't have a MicroSD slot (unless you have it all up in the cloud, even then it'll take an eternity to download) and your app settings might be reset to default. I would only recommend this as a last resort because a) it's really long and tedious and b) your phone will be pretty much unusable for at least half a day.

Actually, before you try any of that download Malwarebytes AntiMalware from the Play Store (~5 million downloads) and full scan your device, if there's anything wrong it'll let you know (full scan takes about 7 minutes)

Unfortunately(?) it didn't detect anything. I don't know what's wrong with it. I think tonight I'm gonna go with the factory reset. Thanks for all your help =)

One thing I noticed is that lookout can't scan apps anymore... I just installed an app and it said lookout was unable to scan..

Are you sure that you haven't set your browsers home page to the play store?

No problem man, although one thing that went over my head is what the comment above ^^ said, maybe your browser defaults are the Play Store. Hmmm try switching browsers and see if it still happens (if you use chrome, switch to Samsung's own browser "Internet" or viceversa, or even Firefox)

GOOD NEWS: I don't get redirected as often anymore and if I do, it will take me immediately to the play store and won't ruin the page I'm on. Thanks for all the help guys. Hopefully it'll stop altogether :]

I didn't do anything. It seems to come and go, but it's definitely not as annoying as it used to be, so that's a plus. The frequency has gone down fortunately.
