Does opening LG Phone Void Warranty

My headphone jack is finicky and I've very easy and cheap to replace. If I replace the headphone jack

1) will it void warranty and 2) would LG be able to find out if the phone was opened?

The jack isn't soldered (snaps into place) and is very low $ on Ebay.

I could send it back to LG but I don't have a backup phone at the moment.

I'm virtually certain it voids any and all warranty. As for how they would know, I'm not sure as I haven't broken into mine but it's probably not worth chancing.

Most likely though I usually send my phone to my carrier for any issues that arise. As for the headphone jack, replacing it yourself is likely a better option than spending more time and possibly more money getting it replaced. Just be careful to unscrew the screws without chipping off the black paint
