does running an ADW launcher kill battery?

just currious.. i installed the ADW launcher last night and spent hours modding it to my liking. 10x better than the stock BS...

is this going to hurt my battery life?

Seriously doubt it. I've not seen any decrease in battery performance since using ADW weeks ago.

Menu>settings>applications>manage applications>adw.launcher>clear defaults

Now press the home button and select HTC Sense (check default if that's what you want to use from now on)

It shouldn't kill it anymore than Sense would. Stock vanilla would be optimal though.

what is the best way to change the icons with ADW.. i dl'ed open home, don't get how that is used to chagne icons in adw.. and it looks like better cut is no longer working..

anyone?

I doubt it. I ran ADW for a while, and now I'm running Launcher Pro. Neither has affected my battery life.

A lot of people use BetterCut, but it's slow and kind of a pain to use.

try FolderOrganizer Lite. Make sure to read the directions about how to change icons. It's pretty easy, but may not be obvious. Then, when you add a shortcut, select FolderOrganizer Item from the "Select Shortcut" menu.
