Does Samsung Note 8 charger only work for Note 8?

[Android Central Question]

I found that my Samsung note 8 charger only works for note 8 but not other Samsung phone such as note 5 or S7 or powerbank although I had changed the cable. However I can use the Note 5 or S7 charger adaptor to charge my note 8 with the connector or charging the powerbank. Why? Is the Note 8 charger different from other Samsung phones'? Does anyone have the similar experience? Thanks!

probably just the cable you're using that is not compatible with the n8 charging block, have you tried with original cable and the adapter that came in the box?

it will support only a USB C port. Most new phones comes with that.

not correct, it comes with an adapter from USB C to micro USB so it should work as long as you are using that with the original cable, it did on my Note 4
