Hi guys -

I bought a Note 20 Ultra direct from Samsung for Tmobile...do you guys know if it comes with a Tmobile Sim or do I have to go and get one?

Thank you!

Do you have a T-Mobile phone? Then again, if you purchased a T-Mobile branded Note 20, it should have a sim.

I am coming from an Iphone on Tmobile...I do NOT have a physical sim in the iphone, I am using an electronic sim from Tmobile, which iphone has. If the new phone doesn't come with a Tmobile sim I will have to physically go to a store and get one instead of just calling and doing it over the phone. UNLESS the new Note allows electronic sims?

On an iphone if you go under settings there is an IMEI for the phone then multiple electronic sim numbers that you give to your cellular carrier to activate...they then usually send you a barcode in an email that you scan which has your plan and information and then that is that, the phone will activate on that electronic sim.

Tmobile branded phones will have a sim in there that you can activate. Instructions are on the sleeve that the Sim card is in.

That's incorrect. You need a physical sim card for a Samsung phone.

Some of the versions this year is supposed to have eSim.
I think it's the HK version that has dual hybrid sd/sim plus also eSim so you could have sd card plus sim card and another number on eSim

My order summary from VZW references a virtual sim. Can anyone enlighten me?

This comes directly from Samsung press.

“The eSIM functionality comes with all Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra devices, excluding China, Japan, and Korea.”
