Does textra sms work over wifi only in sending mms?

Hi,

I'm trying to send and receive mms over via only but it doesn't go through. In the description it says it can be done. When im home i use the wifi calling feature from tmobile. When this is enabled the network turns off and only Wifi is available. So I'm wondering if anyone has gotten this to work this way. I contacted the support but they say they never had this problem before. Not sure if i have some setting wrong.

It works fine on the stock sms and I'm not using any other third party sms app.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

If it works in stock and not in textra then the issue is the textra app itself. You would have to contact the developers.

The wifi calling feature does allow for MMS on wifi but the app has to handle it properly. I know ChompSMS works fine with my wifi calling.

I use ChompSMS also. It's really nice and you can download the emoji plug in so you can see emojis from your Apple buddies
