I have an SIII with Sprint. I'm thinking of switching to an SIII or S4 with ATT due to numerous dropped calls in the L.A. area with Sprint. I travel to Europe and Asia often and want to use the SIII over there for phone and internet. If I unlock my SIII will I be able to buy local sims cards when I travel overseas? How about overseas internet?

If anybody switched to ATT in LA I would appreciate hearing if the ATT LTE network is better than Sprint's. I'm getting about a 5-7MB download with Sprint when I get a 4G LTE signal. Thanks for any info you can provide.

It should work with oversea providers assuming your device is sim unlocked by ATT. I live in L.A as well. I can tell you that their LTE is reliable! I only get hspa+ as Im on a prepaid provider (net10) but the speeds I get on hspa+ are 4mbps to 7 mbps on average. My cousin on lte gets a good 8mbps to 20mbps. :-)

I hope the information helps.
