Does the EVO need a screen protector?

I have read the arguments about the EVO, is it glass or plastic on the screen. From what I have read it seems to be glass. With this in mind, do you think a screen protector is even needed? Isn't glass scratch resistant? I have been using my Pre (my 2nd) without a screen protector and it is holding up fine. What are your thoughts?

The screen is glass and it will scratch. Besides that's a huge piece of real a state. Trust me a scratch would piss you off.
