Anxious soon-to-be-Evo owners want to know.

Out of the box, will my new Evo connect to my wireless N network?

No, not out of the box. When it gets Froyo, most likely it will. I think the tear down showed that it has a wireless N chip in it.

Hardware, yes it definitely has a wireless N chip.
Software, not yet.

That is fine by me though, since the N spec uses about 3 times the juice.

Where did you get that N uses three times the juice as G? I don't believe that is necessarily correct. The power usage of the user device would likely be the same assuming that you are only using a single spacial data stream, which is a good assumption because you would need more than one wifi antenna to utilize more streams. I don't think I saw more than one antenna for the wifi in the tear down.
