Does the front facing camera record video in 2K or 4K at all?

I can record video in 4K with the rear camera, but it only shows 1080P for the front facing camera. Does the 3.7MP camera in the front not work to record higher than 1080P?

If the option isn't there I would say it isn't capable of doing it.

Maybe I'm wrong (good chance that I am) but I thought a camera needs to be a minimum of 8.3mp to shoot in HD (1080p).

Front cam 1440p. This was done to match the screen's 1440p resolution.

And no, 8.3mp isn't needed for 1440p, it's for 2160p as pointed above as well.

Unfortunately front facing cameras have yet to catch up to the rear ones, and only of late have become important enough for companies to focus on improving them.
