Android Central Question

Just got my new note but can't help notice the strong vibrations on the back of the phone when the volume goes over say 30/40 % Is this normal? Just moved from an iPhone where this was never a thing. Thanks

I've noticed this too, but i dont think it tskes away fron the sound of the phone. i watched the teardown and the top speaker had this downward firing speaker that channels to the top of the phone, perhaps that is what causes it?

It will make sense once you watch the teardown video on the Note 10+

Might not be "normal" because it's not really what we're used to, but I believe the vibration everyone feels (including myself) is how the sound travels from the speaker to the top of the phone.

It's not broken. Just a different approach.. Consider it 4DX.. Lol

I use to watch netflix etc. with the built in speakers and tried it with a Note 10 at our local Media Markt shop. It was the main reason for me not to buy the phone as I found it very awkward. For now I will stay with my trusty S9 plus and its very good speakers and see what the S11 brings to the table.

The question is does it rattle, or just vibrate? Sound in a phone will cause any hard part of the phone to vibrate - that's what sound is, a physical vibration. If it rattles, it's a defective phone.

I only feel the vibration.. Not similar to a busted speaker or physical piece of the phone rattling
