Does the number of icons on my home screen affect Battery Life?

I was just wondering if having a lot of icons on my home page will affect my battery life.
My setup is very minimal with only important app on the front. So, will that give me slightly more battery life or is it too small of a difference to even notice?

If there's an impact (which I doubt there is) it'll be very minimal.

I agree with hallux, home screen shortcuts won't make a real difference in your battery life. There are two items on your home screen setup that could affect battery life though. First the number of widgets you have, and battery use will depend on what info they display and their refresh time. Second your wallpaper. Llive wallpapers will use more battery and resources and dark wallpapers (real black) will be better on amoled screens.
