Does the pre-ordered 7 come linked to your Google account?

I put a sealed box 7 I pre-ordered up for sale. If it sells (and I don't care much if it does, since if it doesn't I am just going to return it) and it IS linked, I will have to wipe it before I ship. If not, then I don't even have to open the box. I'd prefer to ship to a seller with the box sealed though.

I am asking because somehow I recall a thread here where someone commented their new, pre-ordered 7 WAS linked when they received it.

Mine wasn't linked when I opened it up. I heard there was an option you had to choose to link it, and I guess I missed that one.

Yep...there was an option on thr order screen tha tyou had to check. If you didn't then it should be ok.

Even if it is linked, it isn't a problem, since you still have to log in with your password. All it shows is your name.

Mine was not only already registered to my account - but had all my Google Music on it - which I listened to while I downloaded my favorite apps. Gotta love the Google.

Seconded. Usually a Google name is your email anyway so they aren't getting any personal info. They just have to click the button saying they aren't you.

Up to that point it hasn't downloaded anything so it's not possible for it to have your music, contacts or anything else. When you sign in it connects and gets all that as a first use sync up. That's why is says it could take some time to verify you or whatever exactly is says.
