Here's another question that reveals sketchy answers at best.

Got an aitch-eee-double-hockey sticks of a deal on a 64 GB micro card at amazon today. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it till it arrived that it's an SDXC card.

Does the S4 accept XC cards? Or should I just maintain the status quo with my 32 GB that I bought right after I bought the phone?

Thanks!
J

I got curious and did a little checking around. The S4 manual says it will use SD and SDHC cards. A couple sites I visited says the SDXC cards can only be used in SDXC compatible devices! My bet is that it will not work!

I am using a 64gb SDHC card with no problems!

Let us know for sure when you try it out!

It worked with no issues as yet. I haven't had a chance to manipulate any data with the phone - cooking for a game party - but no problems accessing the data that's there.

Even more bizarre is that this is a "no name" card made by ADATA. It's a brand I discovered while doing a budget PC build for a customer. Their products have proven so reliable, I've wound up using their RAM on one of my extra machines.

Damn! The flippin' Patriots won!

Anyway, so far, so good. I'll post back in a few days to give y'all an update.
