Does the s4 hold up well without a case?

Looking for some insight here, I currently am using my s4 which I switched over to from iPhone. I find the with a case this phone feels huge. Can this phone survive well without a case or should I deal with the bulk? Looking for someone who has tried it caseless. I apologize if this question has been overdone

I am usually really careful with my phones and never drop them. I bought a very slim case off of Amazon not so much for protection but better grip. I felt the phone was a bit slippery without one and had a couple close calls.

I couldnt imagine this phone with a bulky case. It'd drive me nuts.

Not sure why anyone would not use a case since they prolong the life of phones and can add style or a personal touch. There are many thin cases that offer good protection like the Spigen Slim Armor or for more protection UAG cases and as the previous post mentioned they can also provide better grip.

Otterbox has nice cases too, but for me, I got a Casemate Slider ID Baco since I wanted a kickstand for watching long videos. It's really up to you, OP, but do know that you sacrifice protection by not getting a case. Like all other smartphones, the S4 isn't something you want to drop on a gravel or marble floor. I suggest getting a really nice, thun case just to protect it from scratches though and for better grip. I use my S4 with the case on when going out of watching long videos but at home, especially in bed, I leave it nude.

I've had several cases and found I prefer the speck candyshell. It is slim, goes in and out of pocket easily, and provides decent protection. The only downside is the shiny plastic iwn the case scuffs easily.

I have the Slim Armor case. Personally I really like the case. The phone is still very slim.

I believe in cases. Before we upgraded four family members had the same phone. Mine and my daughters were in cases and all survived numerous drops. My wife who normally is the best at taking care of items is the only one who broke her screen. The only person not using a case. YMMV, but I like cases.

I don't have a case on my S4. I personally don't like cases but they are useful for some people. I've gone from iPhone 4, 4S to nexus 4 without cases and never damaged a phone.
