It does come with preinstalled film screen protector, it's good for keeping scratches from phone. I installed the whitestone Dome glass protector but you need to be patient installing it and fingerprint is a hair slower to respond compared to the factory preinstalled film but better protection.

No. It's film, not hardened glass like a Zagg etc
