Does the V40 support USB-C to HDMI?

I bought a USB-C to HDMI adapter* hoping to display videos (Netflix, YouTube, xFinity, TiVo, etc) but when I plug it in to my LG V40, I get the message "Screen sharing does not work over DisplayPort. To share your screen wirelessly, share to Chromecast or Miracast device."
I don't want to do it wirelessly, I want to plug in an HDMI cable and send audio and video to a TV/monitor that does not have wireless screen sharing capabilities. Is this even possible?

Well it worked in the V30, as I had one and used that feature often. :) Works on Samsung phones too generally. :)

Alright then, that settles it. I'm not as thrilled as I expected to be with the new V40, I came from a V20 and perhaps should have stuck with it for a while longer. The camera(s) on the V40 look quite awful, particularly the telephoto camera. The V20 took vastly better photos.

Really? That's bad because I was never excited with the V20 camera except in manual mode. I didn't like the V30 either. I don't understand why they can't beef up the software.

I had both and I disagree. My V40 takes far superior photos than my V20 did. Especially in low light.

Disagree with what? I never said the V20 was better. Maybe you're referring to the other poster
I have no clue. Sorry. Lol. I probably knew at the time. I posted a phone comment in a watch forum last week. Sorry again.
Looking back I should have said I agree with you
