Does the Verizon G4 or any G4 have poor touchscreen response?

I was messing with the LG G4 at a Verizon store yesterday and noticed that at least 2 if not all 3 (forgot if the 3rd has this issue) display models had poor touchscreen response where I felt that I had to press harder to get a response in order to do things on the screen. My current S5 has great touchscreen response where I can touch lightly and the screen responds well to actions I choose to take on the screen.

Does anyone else have this issue on their G4? Is it a display model issue or is there a setting to change touch response or is it a phone issue?

I have noticed a few users here reporting screen responsiveness issue's.

However i have never experienced this and seems to be very limited.

Mine has been working great. I even have a tempered glass protector on it.

I've been noticing it. Verizon g4 just got today. Definitely requires a little more touch but it also could just be me getting used to it coming from the media 6. I wonder if the slight curve has anything to do with it.

No issues for me so far. Tempered glass screen protector gets here Tuesday, so we'll see if that changes.

Double tap to wake/sleep works about 1/2 the time for me, the other half I have to do it 3 or 4 times before it responds. It's starting to get on my nerves.

I used my Verizon G4 for a day before I put on a glass screen protector (a cheap eBay one, which seems rather thick).

I don't recall having touch issues with the screen naked. With the glass protector, it sometimes doesn't notice light touches. It seems less sensitive than my last phone, a Galaxy S3 with a plastic screen protector.

My Sprint G4 has no touch issues ☺

For waking I typically do 3 to 4 taps simultaneously . It wakes just about every time.

I have noticed when I'm swiping the keyboard using SwiftKey it sometimes breaks up words as if I lifted my finger from the screen when I had it. My wife has also said the knock code doesn't work every time. We'll see how annoying it gets.

So I just did a bunch of knock on knock off all over my screen to see the best place where it registers. It appears as though the bottom part of the screen, I'd say maybe less than half an inch or half an inch I'm not great at guessing measurement, but it appeared to not respond as much as the rest of the screen. Which makes sense because I only really notice the response not being a 100 percent accurate when I'm using my keyboard which takes up a portion of that area. I believe this is software related and not hardware since its flawless most of the time and intermittent others.
