I want to root to Android Jellybean 4.2.2 on my AT&T Galaxy S3 (SGH-I747) which is currently stock and unrooted Android Jellybean 4.1.1 with all AT&T bs.

does this guide work for rooting SGH-I747's? I don't wanna **** up my phone. I want to make sure it works with the version of my phone.

I am looking to upgrade to Android Jellybean 4.2.2 and get rid of all the AT&T bloatware and have a very nice smooth experience on this dual core device. (Basically turns it into an S4 without the nicer camera)

I am looking for some help I am completely new to this and I don't wanna mess this up because I think it voids warranty.

It says it's for the AT&T S3 and they changed the files to work with the AT&T S3 so it should work just fine.

I would head over to XDA Forums if you don't see one here. They usually have a lot to choose from :)

Hello All, new to this site and was hoping to get some basic advice from some experienced galaxy S3 users.
I'm using an AT&T branded Galaxy S3 GSM on straight talk. The device appears to be operating reasonable well, but my question is:
I'm getting a daily screen from AT&T prompting for me to update like"an update from at&t is available" and prompts for me to select continue.
It's my understanding is wanting to getting away letting outside companies use there gsm towers...
1.So should I "Not Accept" this update"?
2.It only offers "continue"as a choice, how to eliminate this daily intrusion?

Thank you in advance, figure this could be a great resource for a new smartphone user like myself.

I am guessing that notice is to update you to Android 4.1.2. I got the same notice.
