Does wifi tether work for the bionic yet?

Does wifi tether work for the bionic yet? (the google wifi tether app) or only paid mobile hotspot?

I turned it on and it enabled Verizon Wireless's hot spot, which made me nervous that they'd charge me, so I turned it off.

wireless tether does not work. hopefully there's an update.

in the meantime. you can download sqlite for a small price. and google the instructions to accommplish what you want.


verizon wireless does not have to be enabled. but if you enabled it through the phone. then i would asume that you have just automatically signed yourself up for the extra fee.

Download from the free app, PdaNet from the Market. Works perfectly. You cannot visit Secured sites unless you upgrade to premium. I have been using for a few weeks and it works perfectly.

The paid hot spot works great. My wife needed to do some work while we were house hunting and I turned it on and had 4g speeds all over Northern VA while the Realtor was driving around.

I have used PDA.NET with much success. It works well and can get you 4g speeds. The downside is it only works tethered by your cable or bluetooth. I have NOT tried it with the bluetooth but if it works anything like the cable, it should be great. If your computer has bluetooth then it should be as good as wifi. Mine doesn't have bluetooth unfortinuitily.

Has anyone used it with Bluetooth?
