Does XPERIA Z1 support 4G in INDIA?

I am planning to buy Z1 and a bit annoying if Z1 will supoort 4G in INDIA as some telecom companies will be starting $G services in the month of august. I am hoping to buy the phone in the month of May so expecting it must be future ready. Which other phones support 4G in INDIA. Please suggest.

It is looking like it might, however.. Most Cellular Websites come with "Bring your own phone" features where you can type in the MED or IEMI number from your phone to see if it will be compatible with their company
