Does you Home Mini answer to other people?

I set up my Google Home Mini and it's fine. But when my husband is asking his Pixel 2 something, my Mini will answer. Sometimes both his phone and my Mini will answer but not simultaneously so it's like hearing two people talking at you at once which is annoying. Is it just going to always answer anyone who happens to say "Ok Google?"

Ugh! Last night it was activated by a Google commercial on TV. The female voice said, "Ok Google" and the next thing I know, my Mini is launching into the day's news.

I expected to have to set my wife's Google account up with my mini for it to work for her voice, but it recognized it without set up. Only problem is without her account linked it only looks through my music, etc. Curious if I linked her account if it would distinguish the two voices between the two accounts...

When I did the voice recognition on mine I only said "Hey Google" even when it asked for "OK Google". As a result, so far my phone doesn't activate when I say "Hey Google" - the Mini does. But when I say "OK Google" just the phone comes to life and not the Mini. My wife is seeing the same results as well.

My daughter (who sounds nothing like my wife) had the assistant telling her (bad) jokes for a good half hour. last night. She isn't a "recognized voice".
